Personalizing Content

Using the content management facilities of the I-Metrics you can personalize the content a visitor sees. Whether you record accounts or you send e-mails to an audience or when you want certain sections of a web page to include personalized content, special tags can be implemented. These tags are supported by the stock package as long as specific keywords are enclosed in a format with square brackets.

For example consider the following template section

[INSERT_DATE]

Dear [CUSTOMERS_NAME],

Welcome to our website.

Regards
[SITE_OWNER]

The tags enclosed in square brackets will be replaced during script execution either when a new email is structured or when a visitor enters a special mode where the framework considers him a familiar entity. In which case the personalized tags will be replaced with detailed information.

When personalization tags cannot be replaced is good to specify some default values to complete the text section.
